To celebrate the start of the semester, we are now offering a large variety of programmes to every new/renewed member! If you are a new/renewed member of University & College YMCAs (Must be Full-time Undergraduate Students of HKBU, CUHK, HKUST, LU, HSUHK, PolyU, HKU or Full-time Students of YMCA-COC) registered on/after 1 Aug 2026, you will be given priority to join “Newbies Series” programmes** below. Application starts from 10 am, 12 Aug 2026 ! Quota is limited, first- come-first-served.

Social Service
“Paw-sitive!“ Joint-U Stray Dogs Volunteer Service
"Every stray animal deserves to be treated with tenderness."
Contribute to the local stray dog community and show them warmth through touring and cleaning the shelter, as well as interacting with the dogs.

Joint-U Life & Death Education
Join us on a one-day journey to explore "life and death" together. In the morning, we will visit a crematorium and a columbarium to learn about funeral services and the customs and culture surrounding death. In the afternoon, through a multi-sensory experience, you will learn about the process of a funeral, participate in a simulated funeral service, and experience an interactive electronic coffin to feel the profound impact of death. We invite you to reflect on life through the lens of death.

Joint-U Sign Language Class &
Deaf Inclusion Activity
"No words needed—our eyes do the talking."
Learn basic sign language through a interactive workshop, then join deaf individuals on an outlying island trip during Inclusive Day. Take this opportunity to be more attentive and observant. Temporarily tune out the noisy world, use your hands to create an "invisible language" shared with deaf friends, and gain a deeper understanding of their daily lives and experiences.

【Registration process】

Complete the online registration form.

After our department verifies priority participation, participants will receive a confirmation email regarding the payment method within 4 working days.

Participants who have successfully registered must follow the instructions and pay the fee via FPS within 2 days of receiving the "Payment Notification Email" from the Association to officially confirm their participation.

Priority will be given to new members for participation in the event. Existing members will be placed on a waiting list. If vacancies become available, we will notify you as soon as possible (no later than one week before the event) . Please pay close attention to your email notifications.
