Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to explore the vibrant culture of Guangzhou?

Join us for the Discover Guangzhou - Cultural Exchange and Service Trip, where you will experience meaningful cultural interactions, engage in community service, and forge lasting friendships among local and non-local peers! 
 

Throughout this 3-day, 2-night trip, you'll immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Guangzhou while making a positive impact on local communities. You will have the chance to engage in cultural exchanges with local youths, participate in hands-on community service activities, and learn about the historical and contemporary significance of the region by visiting various notable sites. ​​

Eligibility 

Full time local and non-local students aged 18-29 with valid University YMCA membership

Programme Content (Tentative)

  • Children's Services: Engage in community service activities focused on supporting local children in Guangzhou. 

  • Intangible Cultural Heritage Activities: Experience traditional Chinese culture by making gambiered canton gauze and traditional pottery. 

  • City Exploration: Visit iconic sites such as Canton Tower, Xiangyunsha Cultural Creative Park, Nansha Tianhou Temple, and Yongqingfang. Enjoy the night view along the Pearl River. 

Programme Fee

$800 + Deposit $500* 

*Refundable deposit upon the full attendance of all pre-trip and post-trip activities with satisfactory performance throughout the programme. University & College YMCA Department of Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong reserves the right of final decision for any disputes. 

- Programme fee includes high-speed rail round-trip tickets, meals, accommodation, local transportation and programme activities with YMCA subsidy. 
- Excluding VISA fee if applicable.
